If the original creditor sells your account to a CA, can they still report against you. I have a creditor that sold an account and they are reporting along WITH the CA. Can anyone help with this?

Sam I think the OC can report what they had until they sold it. After that only the CA. Or the OC can still report if the CA does not. But no they cannot both be reporting every month the same info.

If the OC sells the account, they should report a 0 balance; the CA reports the balance.

To clarify, the OC might not be able to keep reporting but the tradeline will still show up as account transferred or sold or chargeoff, correct?
