Okay I understand when the 7 year reporting clock starts but I am VERY confused about the SOL. I have searched and read and read and I am still confused can someone put in plain english how to determine when the SOL starts on an account? Thanks in advance, Andra
Just thought of something else. Is the SOL in the state that the debt was acquired or the state you reside in? Thanks again, Andra
On your utility bill, I believe Tx is one of those States that prohibits collection activities outside the service area. On the rest, it is wherever they file against you, if you have moved to a State with a different SOL, the SOL in your present residence State will apply if they sue you there, if they sue you in Tx.,they still have to serve you in your resident State.
