    Question.....

I had about 15 student loans from Sallie Mae which have now been consolidated into one loan. All fifteen now reported on my report as "account transferred or sold" and ALL are to remain on my credit seven years from this transfer date. These are a series of loans taken out between 1992 to 1999. Yet all of the loans are showing they were opened 8/97 and closed either 3/98 or 11/99. BTW, the accounts were actually consolidated in 4/00, so the transfer dates on the report are inaccurate.

Anyway, I want to dispute the dates reported because these accounts were never late or anything, they were always deferred and now they are all paid off through consolidation, AND the dates are wrong. If you look at my credit report, it seems I took out $55000 in student loans all at once in 8/87! Can I dispute the dates with the CRAs? Or do I call Sallie Mae? Or do I WRITE Sallie Mae?

    Not sure where to start.......
