Has anyone had any luck dealing with removing charge-off's from hospitals? I heard it is next to impossible. I have 4 derog's and they only total less than $1500, so what's the best bet? They have all been sold to 2 different CA.'s Do I dispute them even though hospitals keep good records and probably can verify all the information?

Yes, you should dispute them. I had three medicla collections that I disputed, they all came off in two rounds or less. Good luck.

Okay, people are talking alot about SOL? I do not understand this issue at all? What is it (I live in Texas) and how does it affect me?
Will this affect me disputing my hospital bills?
Did you dispute this with the CA or the CB's?
    thanx for any help!!!

The sol is the time period they have to sue you for the debt. It is the statute of limitations. If they sue you after the sol has expired, then you have a valid defense for it.

You can dispute the entries with the cra's and send validation letters to the ca's. You can find the letters in the letter section on this board.

    Good luck.
