I have a dismissed Chapter 13 Bankruptcy that was 7 years old in September, 2001, can I get the credit bureaus to remove it? Thanks for any advice.

Chapter 13's are supposed to drop after 7 years. This shouldn't be a problem. I would call the cra's and advise them it was 7 years old in Sept. and needs to come off asap. Or you could always file an online dispute with each of the cra's but that might take up to 30 days. I would call first and see how far you get before disputing it.

I though that BKs syayed on for 10 years (15 USC 1681c(a)(1). Is there an exception for Chapter 13s?

That's great! Is it provided for in the law or is it done by the grace of the CRAs? In other words, if the CRA resists it and points to 1681c(a)(1), what do we say in response?
