Any help on what to apply for?

My new credit scores as of this morning are TU 601, EFX 619, EXP 624. I've been doing the happy dance all day--I'm so excited to finally have all the scores over 600! :)

Anyway, I applied for a card the other day with Orchard, and got approved with a $750 limit with a $79 fee! Since then I've found some posts that lead me to believe maybe this isn't really all that great of a card to have, customer service wise--and the annual fee seems really high. I've still got plenty of time to cancel before they mail it out to me, but I thought I'd see what y'all had to say.

So, any suggestions for other cards? The only card I currently have is a Gold Capital One card (with a $300 limit lol). I have this feeling that my lack of credit is now the primary factor holding my score back, as the only derogs left on my report are 4.5 years old, and they aren't going anywhere try as I might. (Two Paid Charge Offs... ugh)

Anyway, with the scores I've got, anyone got some ideas for some relatively good cards I might be able to get with my scores?

    TU: 601 (+100) - EXP: 624 (+47) - EFX: 619 (+42)

PS: I want to say thanks to everyone here, whether you've helped me directly or not. When I found this board a few months back I was ready to give up--but your stories of success reminded me it was worth it--and possible. Thanks so much folks. Still got a ways to go, but I'm closer than ever! :)

    target visa?
    another cap 1

you're scores are close to citi qualification level, if you have never burnt them before, your issues are over 2 years old, and no BK.

I don't know if Citi would give me another account. Heh. Of course, they were extra special nice to me, so maybe I should give them a call. ;) Considering I went one stretch where I didn't make a single payment for like 9 months (with a balance of about $1200)...

They were incredibly understanding about my situation at the time, and said they wouldn't charge it off if I'd agree to a revocation of charging priveleges. They even offered to drop my interest rate to 0% for six months if I'd agree to pay half my balance in that period, AND waived about 6 months worth of over-limit and late fees just to get me started. Then, after I got it paid off, they agreed to remove the trade line.

oh yeah citibank does keep a memory.. good luck. Citi was the only real credit i found between low 600's till i got into the 670's. It's a long desolate stretch of subprime until you get into the 680's and folks start throwing teaser limits on prime cards your way :)

Anyone else have any ideas? I'm gonna call Citibank on Monday and see what they have to say, but I have a feeling they're gonna say No.
