We paid off some charged-off defaulted SLs and now we'd like to get them removed. There are 2 account and I just found out that on TU they have the 2 seperate ones then they have one that is for both of them (did that make sense? LOL). Can I dispute any of these? Or anything that might get these taken off? they are through US Dept Ed. Not outside agency. I was just going to suck it up and leave those alone but they REALLY hurt us when we apply for credit.

    Any advice?

    Thanks in advance!!

I had unpaid student loans removed from Experian by just disputing them as not mine. They came back the first two times as verified but the third time they deleted them. I would try that first then just do it every month and change the reason for the dispute. I still have them reporting on Eq and TU but I think I will have them deleted by getting them bought back by Sallie Mae. Also try a kyword search under "student loans" and you will probably find some helpful info.

thanks a ton! :) I've read some varying arguments on LSs here so I wasn't sure what the concensus was! LOL :)

    Thanks again!
