DH has a chargeoff with emcc. It shows dola 07-01 on TU. On EQ & EX it shows open since 10-01. I know for a fact we made this purchase in Feb. 01, so all 3 are reporting WRONG!! Can I do anything about this? A CA is also trying to collect on this acct, stating they have purchased from emcc, but on all 3 CR's received this week, it doesn't say anything about the account being transferred or sold. Both emcc and the CA show the same acct #'s on the CR's. Can they both report on the same acct?
Yes, both can report. If it was sold, it should show a -0- balance transferred or sold. Dispute as wrong DOLA.
thanks jlynn. Unifund is the CA, and I requested validation, and they want dh's signature 3 times notarized! It also says the chargeoff date was 11-02 for this account.
