good job butch. update: I got the electric co to send me statements from the old account, and ones from the new account. The old account shows it closing with a $0 balance. The new account shows a 2013.00 addition 05/2002 with no explanation. Would this be good enough to send to the CRA's to get this item removed? as it stands now, the electirc bill shows as a PAID/CHARGE OFF in 2001 after all, it is incorrect information..and the electric co will not change it. I guess what I'm asking is how I should 'phrase' my new dispute, since the last one just came back 'verified' :/ and should I attach these activity printouts they faxed me? thanks
guess I should note that even though the original account shows a 0 balance, it looks bad, the billed amounts in relation to the payments I made don't add up. but still, it clearly states on the same page: PAST DUE 30 days: 0.00 PAST DUE 60 days: 0.00 PAST DUE 90 days: 0.00 Total Due: 0.00 Collections Amount: 0.00 Amount Now Due: 0.00 but still, it doesnt add up to the amount they claim. I want to try and avoid dealing with the electric co on this, they've already made it clear that they won't update this information, it would become long and drawn out. I'd like to try and get it removed and blocked with the CRA's. is this possible? or am I looking for that magic bullet again?
I dunno. It's a toss up - you could possibly get it removed, or they will keep your documentation as proof that the account is yours and continue to report it. ;/
just fyi, i did a PFB on this and it got denied. apparently it is impossible to get TXU electric to remove anything. What sucks is this is on all 2 reports and is my last derog on EQ. Guess I'll just keep trying to dispute it every so often.
