Has anyone ever tried the paid collections nutcase letter w/ I.C. Systems? If so, what was the outcome?

    Thanks

Actually, I had one ready in the event my dispute and letter to the OC was ineffective. Didn't need to--they didn't verify and so they got deleted!

That was 3 months after payment directly to the OC--and I called both IC and OC one week after FedEx delivered the check to the OC. Both verified $0 bal and payment was received the previous week.

So far (coming up on 8 months since deletion) they have not re-appeared on my reports.

nice! Did you use the nutcase letter asking them to completely verify all the info? Did you have the letter notorized?

Thanks!!!!!! this is the only thing holding me back!

When I delt with them it was 1. nutcase (no reponse), 2. another one (no response), 3. Intent to sue with violations email (got letter that it was being deleted), 4. Gone (also, told the dentist office manager that she was responsible for the IC's actions)

I just received a response back from ElderBeerman's regarding the paid collection letter. Instead of validating and giving me the information that I requested in the letter, they wrote that they were reporting all information correctly on all credit reports and it would remain on my credit reports for 7 years.

When you sent you intent to sue letter, was it due to the fact that they did not respond properly to you nutcase letter or was it something else.

This is the first time that I have used this letter and I was hoping that it would work!

    Your advice would be appreciated.

Sent them 2 nutcase letters several months apart, disputed with CRAs, when they verified with all three I nailed them with the intent to sue, citing failure to vailidate, failure to list in dispute, inaccurate reporting. In between the letters I called the dentist and asked to have complete records forwarded they said that they were off site, knew then that they could not validate.

Are they required by law to validate even after you've paid the account off?

Re: Any luck w/ the paid coll lette

RMA has agreed to delete their entries on my EQ report. One more down!

First Resolution Management Corporation sent back a letter stating that they are reporting correctly. Buttheads! They are not the OC and therefore must validate. Gonna have to send them a nasty.

Elderbeerman sent a letter back to me stating that they were reporting correctly. I talked to the new accounts manager (I know, new accounts? this is from 1997) and she was a smart@@@ and told me to get an attorney. I disputed this account with Experian. I wrote that the creditor could not validate, please remove. Hope they remove. Also, I think that I have them on this because they never notified the CRA that the account was in dispute. They also pulled a softie on me. That's 2 violations, right? That's $2k!

Rivervalley said they would delete because they can't verify the account. Hope they keep their word.

Credit Management sent a letter in reponse saying that they would delete.

This is so far a 60% success rate with first round of nutcase letters. I am happy with this! However, I will have to send nasties to Elbee and First Resolution Management Corp.

Have a question though. Elderbeerman is an OC. Aren't they required to validate under one of the laws?
