It depends on what area of the country you're in and who you choose as your lawyer. You'll have all the filing fees that will need to be paid plus the legal fees too. So, it could run you from $700 to as much as $2,000. $699 sounds about as low as you'll probably find, but be sure you ask if it includes all filing fees, etc. Most BK attorneys will meet with you for a free consultation before requiring payment. Take advantage of that, because you don't want to be working with some scumbag who doesn't know what's he's doing. If you have to pay a little more for a better attorney, it'll probably be well worth it.
$699?! That price seems WAY too low, even if it's just for the attorney's fees, and does not include court costs, etc. Around here, most attorneys charge $1500 to $3000, and that's just for a "basic" bankruptcy case, i.e. they will not help you with any creditor objections or adversarial proceedings that might arise unless you pay even MORE money. I think you better find out what exactly is included for this $699. It may just be for a consultation or "bankruptcy analysis".
That price is too low , even if you want to do it using free lancing sites , the attornies there wont bid on that You need to consult a local lawyer or ask a friend who has done it before .
