American General & Am One loans anyone know if they are a scrams or trusted Loan company ?With so many sites on the web how can you tell who is real or a scarm after your infor?????
You might start by checking bbb.org. There are many companies listed there under American General. There is one listing under American One Funding. You will have to determine based on address whether any of these are who you are considering dealing with. Also, whether these particular lenders are legit or not, you should be aware of the usual "predatory loan" tactics: blanks to be filled in after signing, won't give you a copy of all docs to leave with and review at your leasure before signing, other attempts to distract or divert you from reading all loan documents, pushing "loan insurance" implying it is a requirement of the loan, "bait and switch", "low ball" terms, that then come in much higher. And, just as you are attempting to do, check them out. In fact, you might search on Fairbanks Capital, or Ameriquest.
