Has anyone had success disputing an item that's come back verified time and time again?

Did you dispute online or by snail mail?

Did you change your dispute reason?

How many attempts before achieving success?

    Thanks.

    Yes, I have.

    It had been "verified" twice.

No, I did not change the reason.

    I did it online.

I receive updated bureaus indicating that items in dispute have been previously investigated.

    What should I do next?

I've done this with TU and EQ, and got rid of a paid tax lien on the 4th try, but I have run into a brick wall with Experian, they last verified in 5/01, and wont investigate anymore, on line or snail mail. I am thinking I will wait 30 days and try again with an angry letter..Sometimes I find that if I am irate enough, they delete. (rarely, though.)
