Hey everyone, I need a suggestion! I'll give the background: Was with a Credit Counseling Service, somehow their payments to a few creditors were "lost in the mail" and Household bank is one of them. The last payment HH received was in January. I cancelled with the CCS and decided I'll just pay on my own again. On the 26th I get a phone call from HH saying I owe them $66.00 and if I didn't pay that night I would be reported as 30 days late on my CR's. I of course don't want the lates so I pay them via check by phone. I asked the guy about a million times if he was sure I wouldn't get lates and he assured me I wouldn't. I pull my Privacy Guard reports on the 27th and they are still reporting satisfactorily. I'm thinking all is good, right? NOPE! I pull PG today and Equifax has me for 1 30 day late, Experian has 2!! 30 day lates, and TU has a 30 day late! WTF?!? So I call and speak with a Supervisor at HH who said that she would update the EX to say only 1 30 day late but all the others would have to stay. I told her that the guy who called me said that I wouldn't get the lates and she said, "Sorry you were misinformed". What should I do? Send a letter? What kind of letter? If I do send a letter what should I mention. Or should I just drop it? Thanks in advance for any help! Shana
Send a letter via planetfeedback.com I called and spoke to a rep there once re: a credit limit increase. I asked if they were going to pull a hard inq for an increase, and I was told no. A couple weeks later there was a hard inquiry from Household. I wrote a letter via planetfeedback and shortly thereafter I received an apology letter and copy of the request they submitted to the cra to have the inquiry removed. So, that may work for you.
