Any truth to this?

I saw this post on another board and was wondering if there's any truth to it. Seems to me that it's not true, not only based on my experience, but also because of the fact that the CRA's are in competition with eachother and could care less how the other company is reporting the same info.

    Here's the post:
"I just wanted to tell you that if you disputed information on one credit agency and they deleted information then you can send the dispute information in to the other agency and they have to update your report. Federal law prohibits credit agencies to report different information on the same creditors. When you mail in a copy of the dispute investigation to Experian you need to specifically mention that this is a result of Equixfax's investigation and federal law prohibits a credit agency to report incorrect information. They have to change the information... I have done this in the past and it works."

Nah, doesn't work. They really and truly don't care. Unless of course it is a derog, then it just might show up.
