My husband has an old Wolpoff/Mann Bracken judgement that he was making monthly payments on until they shut down and returned his payment in January. As of right now, we haven't been contacted by anyone claiming that they now service the judgement. How about y'all? Any updates out there? For the past few months, I've been having him "pay" the judgement payments into a savings account. That way, when he is contacted, there will be a bit of money to put toward the debt.
I'm not sure who took over their debt portfolio, but I'm sure someone did. Good idea to keep saving the money so you're prepared. I'm sure it will catch up with you at some point in the future. Anyone else know who ended up purchasing their debt portfolio?
