thanks lb, for the links, but I'm not a new member, and I'm trying to decide how best to proceed that would be in her best interest, since it is a large sum of money, and well within the SOL. I can't seem to find the info I need on the CA in question.
Has she talked with her insurance company to verify that it was never submitted (or if it was submitted, whether it was paid, or if not paid, why it wasn't paid?) Account Services 1802 NE Loop 410 Ste 400 San Antonio, TX 78217
Re: Re: Anybody dealt with these guys? Why chat has info on med. collections on that site. You can get there by clicking the link I suggested.
Re: Re: Anybody dealt with these guys? Why chat has much to say about med. collections.Thats why I suggested the OP go to the new bee link shown below.
Re: Re: Anybody dealt with these guys? Yes, she has checked with her insurance company, and the claim was NEVER submitted to them. Why Chat's HIPAA won't come into play here, unless she could pay PIF for the bill. The lady is dogging her as to why she never submitted it to the insurance. I thought that was the hospital's job? She was unconscious when they brought her in by ambulance, but surely they had her info in the office.
Re: Re: Re: Anybody dealt with these guys? . I thought that was the hospital's job? ******************************************************>This would depend on the arrangement if any between the insurer and the hospital. At this point we haven't been informed about the status of such which limits the ability to advise or make suggestions. *******************************************************
Re: Re: Re: Anybody dealt with these guys? If the hospital is out of network, it could be that the consumer is responsible for submitting the bills to the insurance company, if the insurance company will cover them at all. If the hospital is in-network, then usually the hospital is able to bill the insurance company directly. It depends on how the hospital and insurance company is related, and if they are related. That would be the next set of questions to ask the insurance company, if the providing hospital is in-network, and if the providing hospital would have been responsible for billing the insurance company directly.
