Global Check lists this on their website: Global Payments, a world leader in comprehensive electronic payment services, offers the total check payment solution. Our variety of cost-effective products meet your business needs for Electronic Check Conversion, Check Guarantee, Verification and Recovery Services. They sound a lot like Telecheck. I guess, since they mention guarantee, verification and recovery services, that they are also a CA. I'll look for the other one in a minute.
I found two things for CheckRite. One is a home inspection company. The other is part of Advanced Asset Alliance, who seems to own AAA Collections, Inc. CheckRite is "a low-cost solution to loss prevention." Looks like they offer point-of-sale loss prevention, so I assume they are the same type of outfit.
I just found CHECK RITE mentioned in the following thread on this board. http://consumers.creditnet.com/stra...php?s=&threadid=44056&perpage=90&pagenumber=1 Thread Title Re: Re: Help! My check was denied at mall! Hubby had a $10 check bounce-- he paid it... About a month later CHECK RITE reported it to the credit bureaus... a freaking $10 PAID check... I could not believe they would go to the expense of reporting it, but that's the world we live in I suppose. kit
both of those companies are "bad check" collectors. they are also quick to wrack up violations. last year i started to not be able to write checks at merchants thanks to them (someone with similar name, not actually me, that they mixed up with me). maybe once life settles down i will sue the bastages considering they REFUSE to accept i am not this person (same last name, similar - but different first name). i know, i know - why write checks anymore? sometimes i forget my debit card and it would be nice to be able to write a darned check!
They've rejected checks from 2 different accounts at the same bank. The clincher is they rejected a check for $72 from this bank but accepted the credit union check I paid the $72 with. For some reason they seem to have it in for the bank, but not me. If it was me they would have also declined the credit union check. These people are just plain nuts.
It's probably a combination of your driver's license number and the account number. Be glad they don't know about the CU account yet!
