Identity verification. Use a lot for things like Yahoo paydirect, other online payment services, stuff like that. Usually the decision is whether or not to give you an account or let you register a card for something.
Well, I haven't used anything like Yahoo or the others. I applied for the Citi cards and the Target card about 2 weeks before this inquiry and I haven't tried to register a card. Could it have anything to do with ordering my equifax report online? Other than that, I have no clue.
