Anyone apply for Nextcard lately?

I want to change Visas (legal issues caused me to bounce a check with Cap One so I want a fresh start). And Fleet crummy credit line is only $500.

According to www.millcbs.com, they check TU. Is that true per anyone experience?

    Thanks!

    Love,
I've seen inquiries on TU & Experian....never Equisux. They could go either way. The more recent denials were on TU though.

    Love,

I think Nextcard currently need 680 FICO score to approve their application. If you don't have 680 FICO score, they may denied your application. They pulled credit report from both TransUnion and Experian. I was approved for Nextcard with credit limit $1000 2 1/2 yrs when I had a couple of charge-off accounts. I heard they tightened up their requirement for approving their application.

    Love,

My advice - Don't even think about Nextcard right now. This economy is so messed up and I don't expect them to be business by the end of the second quarter.

    Dani,

That could be a good thing. They could sell their accounts to someone I really do want to do business with, like Chase or MBNA. :)

BTW, does anyone know who will pick up their accounts if they go under?

So far there is no bidders, which isn't a good thing. Usually, there is some rumor about a takeover or buyout, but nada. Also, on the down side someone like Cross Country or Fleet could buy their accounts - yuck.
