I have a paid Discover charge-off reporting with an incorrect DOLA on Experian. It is 7 years old, but after many phone calls I gave up and I sent a validation letter to Discover. It's been 30 days since they signed for it with no response. Experian did not allow me to dispute it again. Should I just send a follow-up validation and try to dispute again w/ Experian?
...all i can say is good luck.... they are the only ones who are still a blemish on my credit report from 6-7 years ago, and they will not budge until their deletion date.... thank god it's a few months away!
I had a paid charge-off showing up on all 3 CRAs. I disputed online as "not mine" and it came off first time. Now if I could just figure out how to get MBNA, Chase and BofA off (also paid charge-offs). They're my last baddies and appear on all 3 CRAs.
I had a judgement from them on my report, as well as the account still listed, and disputed the judgement a few times with no luck, and then this last time, the judgement came off. I still can't get the c/o account off. Good luck!
Discover was showing as a Paid Charge Off on my TU and EQ in 11/2001 - Now EQ shows Discover as R1 and TU as a positive account. But I have no explanation for the change - I never contacted them or the CRAs regarding that particular account.
