Anyone have an Orchard Bank card?

I received an Orchard Card in May with a crummy $300 limit. Has anyone been able to negotiate a credit line increase?

Let me know of your experiences!

    Thank you

I don't have one and I heard it is a subprime card from Household Bank.

When my friend applied for Orchard several months ago, he got a $300 limit also. He called right away to complain and got it raised to $500.

I've had one for 2 yrs. Last year I asked for a credit increase (it was originally 300), anyways I asked to raise it to 1000, they raised it to 550.

I have a 1+ year old bk and they gave me a $300 limit also right after discharge. I was told to just call retention and they would more than likely raise it to $500. I was too chicken and really just wanted a small balance to start out with anyway. So far I've only asked once and they only raised it to $400 (for a $5.00 fee).

They are sub-prime and beggars can't be choosers all the time. In my situation, just following a bk, it's just fine with me. I'm just glad I got something with decent terms. I know I don't have to keep it forever, I just need it to build a good history again.

Just call retention and see if they'll up it to $500.

I initially had it at $500. 3 yrs ago. It is now up to $1400.

I've noticed that Orchard back is the only CC that I have that hits me with an over the limit fee of $35 (i think) when the finance charge puts me over the top.

Others like getSmart, Citi, Cap, CorTrust doesn't do that to me. Got so irritated that I cut the card up. Will cancel when I pay off the balance.

    Hello-

I was actually wondering about this, as well. For the people who HAVE or HAVE HAD Orchard Bank Credit Cards- What was your score when your were approved for the $300 unsecured card? Do you remember? I am considering applying for this card, but I don't want an inquiry on my report if it's all in vain. Thanks!

I got approved for $300.00 6 months after bankruptcy in January. Just got raised to $450.00 without asking.WOO HOO ~ My scores were about 630-640. Their website works well if you like to make payments online which is a requirement of mine. No problems that I can see so far.

I just don't get. I applied with Orchard bank for a secured cc. About three weeks later, I was notified by mail they approved for an unsecured cc. They pulled EXP and gave me $800 limit. But my EXP score at the time was about 580.

That was about 5 months ago. I haven't had any problems with them and use their online bill pay. But it seems based on these posts, I was pretty lucky to get a $800 limit with an EXP score of about 580 at the time.

The only cc I had reporting were cap1 for a whopping $300 and NetFirst for $500 (had to start somewhere). Maybe they based the $800 limit on my highest cc limit and added some extra, because if it was based solely on my score, it seems like I should have received a $300 limit.

I called Orchard Bank and I was told that I could not receive a credit increase until after my account was 6 months old.

I will try not to spend that whopping $300 all in one place!

My score was in the mid to higher 500's after my bk discharge. Hubbys was also and he got approved for $500 for two seperate accts (which we've just combined). I don't know why he got more than I did. I should also mention that we applied online after receiving offers in the mail right after our discharge.
