Re: Anyone have fax# for CBCof colu Butch, I hate to be contrary, but being affiliated does not make them one of the big three. They are not even bound by the same Federal Laws. Believe me, I have studied hard on this subject. I disagree with there stance and i believe that they could be held accountable. They are info grabbers for Equifax, nothing more nothing less. They are regional and privatelly ran seperate from Equifax.They carry themselves as a seperate entity all toghether. If you dont believe me, try to take legal action against them for the information appearing on your Equifax report. They are nothing but info providers in the laws eyes.. Yes, the collection departments are usually called " Credit Bureau of --------(insert city here)...They are just the collections end of a very big corp. Equifax. also has its own collection dept..THey are a bigger pain than any of the CB----s
Re: Anyone have fax# for CBCof colu Interestingly enough, when you call CSC they now say they are an Equifax affiliate. They say it so many times that you get the feeling they are really trying to get that point accross. I don't recall them being so obvious about it before, though I always thought that they were an affiliate. I suspect CBC is essentially the same type of organization as CBC?
Re: Anyone have fax# for CBCof colu Question what is CBC's dispute address? I recently sent a dispute to equifax that was inturn mailed to cbc. I had to supply some additional info(DL), which is when I noticed this. Of course I forgot to write down the new address.
