Hi guys, I'm new to this and this is my first time posting. Most my derogitive items on my reports are 30 days late payments from before 2000 to credit cards that I still have. Someone on another forum said that I should send my credit card Co's a 'Good Will Letter', and to ask for one here. I guess that this letter is a plea for mercy, right? How effective do you think this will be? Also, can someone point me to threads which give simple instructions on how to dispute items w/ all three CRA's. And if there could be any negative consequences for doing so? Thanx
