About 10 years ago my mom gave me one of her unused credit cards for me to use and pay, which was then owned by Chevy Chase Bank, MD. It had a high credit limit which I was the sole user of. After about 3 years of use, Chevy Chase told my mother they would remove her and just leave me on the acct as I was handling it just fine. Chevy CHase then sold to First USA, who would when sending bills would send using my mother's name as well as mine. Called First USA and told them I was sole user on acct and they said no I wasn't that I was only an authorized user and it had to stay that way. Long story short, as I have written in the past, my daughter began using the card unbeknownst to me at the time and ran it up very high. I had to end up putting it with CCCS and have paid every month for the two years they have had it. No payments were ever missed; however, my Mom, who has excellent credit, has this on her credit reports as well as it being on mine. It states paying as agreed but shows the CCCS trade line. First USA has sold out and it's now Bank One!!! Is there any way I can get this off my Mom's credit report and leave it on mine only. She has never once used the card in all of the 10 years, only I have. Any suggestions as to what we might do to have this removed from her credit reports?? Thanks in advance for any help.
