I just signed up with these guys a few days ago after considering it for months. BTW I am new to this board. I am starting to worry if I made a mistake, especially concerning a few post that indicated that items were re-inserted. This is the nightmare scenario. I considered Junum before signing up with Lex. Anyone tried working with both. What about creditwrench? Please post success/horror stories of Lex if at all possible. I hope to exit the 500 club in a years time or less. Current scores TU: 531 Equifax: 570 Experian: 582 Thanks for responding.
Re: Anyone Satisfied with Lexington I've had success with both Lexington and Creditwrench. Here's my summary from August 13: http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&postid=79371 (I'm too lazy to write it up again, lol. Please pardon the link.) Doc
Re: Anyone Satisfied with Lexington Doc, I had success with Lex Law also. Regarding CreditWrench, is it similar to Lex Law where you send in your reports? Or, is there any additional leg work on your part. I'm still considering it. Thanks. CardKid
Re: Anyone Satisfied with Lexington No, it's different. You don't send Creditwrench your credit bureau reports. Instead, you learn how to deal with creditors. Search the board under "Creditwrench" for a whole lot of information (and a whole lot of controversy, lol!) regarding that approach. Also, keep in mind that several respected board members advocate not paying anybody to help you with credit-related issues because you can learn to deal with these concerns on your own! That's a compelling argument, so review all of that as well. Doc
Re: Anyone Satisfied with Lexington Guys I apologize if I might have posted my question in the wrong forum. Anyway, I got my first email from my case manager at Lexington today. I would do this myself but work, personal life, trying to pursue advance degree just too much. (But I find time to check these boards even at work...don't laugh) Back to lex.... They basically sent me an invoice showing me all the work they did to earn the $75 initial fee. I am not complaining if I did not screw up my credit while in college i would not be in this situation. If they can get 50% of the negatives off my 3 cbrs I will be happy. Exp 570, equi 582, tu 531. Several duplicates and several recent inq. Anyway, I am sending my reports out tomorrow to Lex and I guess I will wait until next year to see any results. I am seriously thinking of going with a few other services. Junum, Creditwrench to try to speed up the process. Any advice is welcomed. ?Should I dispute inquiries on my reports while lexington is working on my case or should I wait for the first round of disputes go out first. Final comment since visiting this board for only 3 weeks I was able to get myself an increase on 2 of my Cap 1 accounts. Based on info obtained here. My limits are still low but the increase and lower apr was nice. So a thank you goes out to the owner/operator of this site and all the members who post. Lud.
Re: Anyone Satisfied with Lexington I hate to tell you, but you're wasting your money. It takes a couple of hours of reading to know everything that Lex can do for you. With online disputes available from the credit reporting agencies, you're throwing your money down a hole. You made mistakes in college (who didn't), but I think you're making another one now. Is repairing your credit not worth 3-4 hours investment. You're going to be spending more time each month sending the forms back to Lex than you would if you did it yourself..........
Don't do it!! I learned the hard way, don't trust anyone but yourself to take care of your credit. I just posted my experience today. It was and still is a nightmare. Bobbi
Hey guys, You've all said it pretty well: Lexington is a do-it-for-you service that you can do yourself if you want to make the time investment. Many on this board have turned credit repair into a minor hobby (and they publish really killer info about credit repair techniques. Lexington pulls many of its new methods from stuff pioneered by these guys and published on this board. Thanks, guys.) If you don't want another minor hobby, Lexington (best service) or Junum (best price) are the way to go, in my opinion. Creditwrench is a great way to go if you want to do-it-yourself and would like some assistance. Bill Bauer of Creditwrench is a good hands-on coach, it appears (hey, we may not always like what he says, but he says a lot. Noone can say that he's a no-show.)
Re: Anyone Satisfied with Lexington Jason, your steady presence on these stormy seas is appreciated. Doc
Re: Anyone Satisfied with Lexington I have middle level success with Lex, but after a while, they started trying to erase the same old things every round or didnt try to get off teh really damaging things, regardless, my credit score went up. my stories about lexington are posted somewhere on this board.
Re: Anyone Satisfied with Lexington Hello Luddy, Welcome to the board. Not to worry, you posted your question to the correct forum. Bkev stands corrected. Sincerely, -pbm
