Re: Re: Re: anyone use INGdirect still? So I went and opened an account and 3 days laten when trying to make another transfer (I did only 1$ for the inital deposit to see if it works) my account did not allow me any operations anymore. So I called them 2 times and they were sorry we dont see anything wrong, try again. The 3rd time arround I was connected to a special department and after verifying all my details again over the phone she tried to verify my details in 2 major cra's but she came up empty (no wonder I dont have credit cards etc.). So she said, sorry with no credit record we cant help you as we cant verify you are who you claim to be. Ignoring the fact that they verfied my bank account by 2 credits and 1 debit for the inital debit. After I told her that I am willing to fax passport and SSN Card she pulled a chexsystem (!) and said, that now she could free the account as she now sees something (which is funny as I never wrote any checks and there can nothing be in it). So now after 30 minutes on the phone I have the account free. Let's hope they dont decide to freeze it again. Gee.. It's hard to return to the US.
Re: Re: Re: anyone use INGdirect still? could it have been because you didn't do the verification of the small amount of money they deposited into the account you linked? I know that I had to wait until I got my statement (about 5 days later) to see the pennies they deposoited, then go to the site and let them know how much they deposited as a security matter. I just opened my account a couple of months ago. I love it, I did make the mistake of not giving enough time for my money to transfer back to my account. I, for starters, opened the account for my moving fund, but once I move, it will be used as savings. And I am liking the fact that I can't just run to my atm and take the money out, stops my frivolous spending!!
Re: Re: Re: anyone use INGdirect still? I am with Stonebridge Bank and I was able to see the deposits they did 1 day after they did them online and so I had verified them. Also the initial deposit was already taken 1 day later from my account. So that could not have been the issue. I love Stonebridge as they are fast with ACH transfer/credits.
