I know this is way off topic. I have not use this since May 01 and their rules are sooooooooo different.

My question is if you want to send a payment using Instant Transfer w/ a personal acct using a bank account. Are you charged any additional fees for using the Instant Transfer option to send money you to other people?

I see in small print they charge you extra $$ for using echecks or ccards.

I have used paypal twice in the last week or so and both times it was a transfer from my bank account (e-check) and no fees...

depends on what type of account it is.

but generally speaking, no charge if the cash is in your account already.. The business/premier folks are always charged it seems..

you just click on "send money" then you can fund your account for the amount you want to send. You can use a credit card without paying any fees. I just did it 2 days ago.

When it pops up the account information and shows your bank info, look in the lower left hand corner of the "Box" - there is an option for other funding options - that would take you to your credit cards, so you can use one of them.

The major difference now is you cannot RECEIVE CC payments without having a bussiness account now.

I got bit in the butt this Xmas with my ebay auctions!

I've been a paypal member for years. They used to allow you to send as much $ as you want without giving them your banking info, and you could receive $ without being a "premier" member. Also, having a check mailed to you used to be a free service, now they charge.

One good thing--they now accept amex and discover.

One thing about PayPal, they can freeze your account without warning at any time. They froze CreditWorks account a couple of weeks ago. We recommend you keep zero balance and only fund the account when necessary.

Exactly right. And I only use it when I have to. After the X.com fiasco, I don't trust them one bit.

I was forced to use PayPal for a Christmas gift, and after the hassle required to open an account, as soon as the transaction was complete I closed the account. I will never use them again! They screwed up on the details, called me a liar when I caught them on it, and later were forced to apologize to me...I have NO confidence in them!

I wish I had been more careful, now they are holding our money hostage. They are claiming people are complaining about CreditWorks, yet the only person that purchased a membership through them asked us to pay them with another service because of their fees.
