I applied online yesterday..not sure who they are pulling though but will keep u guys posted on the results.
Strangely enough, I did the same thing too and I'm still waiting also. They must be taking a very long coffee break because it's taking forever!
Those freaks are requeastinf full verification...copy of social, utlility bill, and proof of employment... FREAKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Re: Appied for BofA Plat...app. pending My DIRECT DEPOSIT NOTICE has my NAME ADDRESS SS# and EMPLOYER...I DON'T NEED A COPY OF SS CARD OR UTILITY BILL...it is all on one document...(it even has my DEPOSIT BANK) ...and why is a utility bill so IMPORTANT??? I spend more on two credit cards in one month then ALL THE UTILITIES COMBINED FOR 2 or 3 YEARS!!!
I got one of those Pre-Qualified Acceptance Certificatesy 1, 2004, for a BoA Platinum ,0% until January and no annual fee. I'm tempted to apply BUT I'm still licking my wounds from having a partial declination from Shell gas card. My scores are: Equifax 652 Experian 643 TU 641 What do you think? Should I apply? Or hang tight until my Fico improves? Should I go onto www.mynewcard.com and get the 60 second response?
I'll let you know but first I want to try to calculate my chances. No use getting an inquiry for nothin'. I'm leaning toward not doing it. PS. I checked my Equifax Fico, it's 656
I just got a BofA platinum credit card. I received the pre-qualified thing in the mail and went for it. I haven't applied for anything in a long time because my credit is crappy (low 600's). I have a couple of medical judgements from the past 2 years, unpaid medical bills and I don't even have a job..lol..I'm a stay at home mom and going to college full time. Anyways I was approved for $5,000 withen only about 30 seconds online. So anything is possible!! Good luck!
Way to go, ct! Bof A is one of the hardest nuts to crack. For years I was never able to get a card from them. Last month, they called and said I was approved for the 5K plat and would be receiving it in 10days. I hadn't even applied for the card.
Applied for hubby...DENIED. Reasons, 1. Number of inqs in last 5 months (all mortgage) 2. # of new accts opened (him none, just AU on my cards) That sucks, TU is hubby's ONLY good report. I would like to get him something of his own. His score is 698 I believe.

I received a phone call and the lady told me there was nothing they could do for me b/c I had derogatory tradelines on my credit report (JCP c/o from 1996 and paid utility collection from 1997)... I figured since these were going to fall off in short order they could overlook them, but I guess not. They counter-offered a secured card but I said forget it. They checked TU, fico was 677. It really is the luck of the draw whether you get approved or declined (apparently I'm unlucky).
