Seeking opinions about Apple Federal Credit Union... They are in VA/MD/DC area and their web site is http:\\www.applefcu.org I want to know if there are people here who have dealt with them before and their experience(s). Apple FCU is a "multiple bond" credit union, offering membership to many different organizations. I am not sure what multiple-bond means in this regard. Apple extends membership to organizations mainly in public sector, education, state govt etc. I have never dealt with them, but I recently came to know that my employer is a member of Apple FCU. I would like to explore a relationship with them, regular stuff, add some positive TL's, and possibly home loan. I would like to know if you have any comments regarding thier: - customer service - OD or CL on their checking account - loans - CD secure loans - Visa platinum / Visa Gold / Visa Classic - online membership services - what do they pull - what do they report etc. etc. You get the idea... Thanks.
bumping it again... (possibly for the last time) It seems like there are not many people from DC/MD/VA area on this board. Or for some reason, no one has had experience with Apple. May be I will be the first one. I will post when I talk to them.
I am a member of Apple Federal Credit Union. I joined while working as a teacher for Fairfax County. Unfortunately, I only have a savings and checking accout with them. I did apply for products several years ago; however, at that time I had much lower scores and was declined. The only thing I do not like about Apple is my branch (Herndon) does not give out cash. There website is ok. I have problems accessing it a couple times a week. I do, however, love the low fees. They also have networks with other Credit Unions to allow for greater banking options. Overall, I would say I like Apple for what I use them for. I do have multiple accouts with multiple banks. Hope that helps, Mike G.
MikeG, Thanks for the post. At least I found one person who has an account with Apple. How much were your scores when you were denied? I mean the rough range. If I open a checking account with them, I would like to have a CC account as well. Yes their fees are pretty low and the membership fee of $5 is not bad either. I do not care much about branch giving out cash because this is not going to be my main account. Just like you have multiple accounts. Thanks for the infomation. I am sending you a seperate email as well. Any one else with Apple feedback?
