We just applied for Advanta Business card and got the following:

Thank you for submitting an application for the Advanta Business Credit Card. Our credit department is currently reviewing your application. We will contact you when the review is complete. Please allow 10 business days for this process.

Anyone know what that means? Approval or not?
The credit is perfect but has some inq's (5).

I haven't heard of any business cards that do instant approval.

You might call them in a few days and see if they'll tell you anything.

I got the "0% BT until May04" several months ago, twice, and then more recently the "0%BT untril Sep04" - so I pulled the trigger yesterday after paying off most of my current CCs, got the same "Wait 10 days" - but they called me to check on a couple things within an hour, and within an hour after that was approved for 10K. Scores in the 680s-710s, with a plethora of inqs (>15 past year, 3-4 last 6mo)

Now I'm just torn between free 10K money for over a year, or the 1-2% cashback... maybe I'll wait a few more weeks for optimal cc balances and a few more inqs drop off, than go for the Amex Blue for Biz - that's got even better cashback, with 5% discounts from Dell as I understand... (but unfortunately the other two times I've applied I've been shot down)

I think my score on exp was probably below 680. (Down from 722 fako) I thought they'd pull EQ. They denied me on 1) number of inqs (exp of course was high - 7 or so in 6 mos....one should be removed as dup, but on there nonetheless); 2) length of time accounts have been established 3) proportion of balance to high credit on bank revolving. (Took advantage of some 0% bt's!)

I honestly think when my balances report 0's and my score goes back up it won't be a problem with new accounts and maybe not inqs. What do ya'll think? When I called them they didn't act like any of those things in and of themselves were the problem.

So now my score will go back up and I'll have way too many inqs on exp if they pull it again. Sniff. I hate having to have patience lol.

PS: Wells fargo biz loc and Bank one both pulled exp and not EQ which surprised me.

    Amy,

As you know, Advanta turned me down too. They hit me with with too many INQ's. I only have 2 INQ's and CL were too new. They pulled TU on me.
