Well I got an invitation in the mail today to apply for Chase so I applied online. The website said it would take 7-10 days to process my application. I checked the whopulledmycredit site, looks like I've got a pretty good chance of getting it, as Chase pulls mostly from TU in Cali (11 TU, 2 EXP, 1 EQFX) so here's hoping they pull from TU or EQFX. If they pull EXP I prolly won't get it as thats the one CRA where I have a couple of baddies. Seems that almost all other CC's pull EXP in Cali. :-( I'll let you guys know what happens.

Good luck, and I think it's going to take more than 10 days.

I live in Illinois and Chase pulled TU.

    Best regards,
    Mirage

I'm in cali and they pulled tu on me. You are right, it does seem a lot of creditors pull the Evil Exp here, especially citibank.

Good luck, on the card, I was approved awhile ago, and I am really happy with it.

they pulled TU for me in SF CA!
You'll get it - by the way, CHASE does NOT HAVE instant approval. It takes a few days - a human reads the application LOL!

Go the the CHASE email site - you may be approved already.

Good luck but you will get it!

    UPDATE:

Just checked my application status and I was APPROVED! $6000 credit limit.

    Woohoo!
    Hot dang!

I don't know what my APR is yet, the application said 5.99%, 9.99 or 18.99.

Whichever it is, it still beats Providian anyday. Here's hoping it's one of the first two.

My mother applied for Chase and was approved for $5000. When she did balance transfers that neared her credit limit they automatically increased her, without asking her, to $10,000 on a brand new account.

My suggestion is you balance transfer all you can and see if they increase you to $10,000 or even $12,000

I got Chase Ulitimate Rewards in January...$7500 limit. They were willing to give me up to $10K for a BT.

I received my Chase card today in the mail. My APR is 5.99%!

I immediately did a BT from my Providian card. 0% until 3/31/05, after that, 5.99%.

Sure beats the hell out of Providian, 23% any day.

No CLI's, a $50 BT fee but I am still very happy!

    Woohoo!

So this is what prime time feels like. <grin>

My wife's APR is 5.99%. I still thinking it's some kind of promo rate. She does not remember getting any notice of the APR reduction. Also she has been getting (I think) a CLI every 6 months.

    Best regards,
    Mirage

    They pulled TU

I had thought TU was clean, but I discovered I have an old derog mortgage TL on it that will fall off in a year. I had thought it was only on EXP. Zero balance, they accepted less than full balance as payment in full. It has one 60 days late, four 90 days, and three 120 days late.

I was surprised they still gave me the card at 5.99%.
Evidently the mortgage TL is at an age where it is actually helping more than hurting me, because it is my oldest TL, from 1989. I'll probably even take a fico hit when it falls off.
