Is this normal for MBNA to take so long for an application? I wonder if they are verifying stuff. Usually if it is a denial it will be immediate. Please let me know if you went through this. Thanks P.S. When I called today the lady said it was still pending but before she hung up she said "We look forward to you being a customer"? I was kindof puzzled over that but hey I will keep my fingers crossed.
bgolden, They do take a loooooonnnnng time to give a response for a card app. It took them 2-3 weeks for my reply. If you were approved, there is a quick way to find out. Check your TU report and see if the trade is listed. My MBNA account showed up on TU one week after I applied, and two weeks before they told me I was approved.
