According to the Who Pulls Spread Sheet 9 out of 10 Circuit City pulls are through EFX. However most of the data on the spread sheet is not from the Mid Atlantic region. (I'm looking for pulls in the PA, MD, DE, NJ area). Seems that my apps always seem to hit TU. My EFX has no inq's, and for some reason one of my major derog's that show's up on TU isn't showing up there. I just did a dispute on the derog with my TU and don't want anything to hit it until I see what happens. If I knew for sure with Circuit City I'd get an EFX pull I'd go for it.
Did you have a BK? How BK-friendly is Circuit City for its store card and its Visa (or is it MasterCard)? I've rebuilt, so my scores are around 700. But I'd like to find a halfway decent bank card that isn't secured.
This is a good card for you then. I think the BK has to be 3+ years out and you have definately got the score. I'd say your chances are very good.
I applied in store in PA, pulled transunion, score 701 declined, - too many inquiries in last 90 days. Planet feedback, - 5 days later approved $2K pulled Equifax. Score 645
Re: Re: Apply for Circuit City lately? The BK is almost 4 years old. Is this a store card or a Circuit City Plus Visa? Also, is it best to apply in the store?
Re: Re: Apply for Circuit City lately? Circuit City Plus Visa. Does not matter, either on-line or in-store.
Re: Re: Re: Apply for Circuit City There is no online credit app any more, when you click on the "Apply Now" buttom it tells you "Available at your local Circuit City Store." I have FICO score of 655 as of November 15, 2003. BK is 7.5 years old. And I was declined. Can't wait to see the reason.
Re: Re: Apply for Circuit City late If you don't mind me asking, how many inquiries were too many? And any thing specific you put in your Planet feedback?
Re: Re: Re: Apply for Circuit City Can't wait till you post the reason why. How many inq's did you have?
Re: Re: Re: Re: Apply for Circuit C I don't know which CR they pulled, all I was told by the store clerk you'll get your reply in the mail. If they pulled TU, which I was hoping they wouldn't, I think I have 6 inq's in the past 6 months. I was hoping they'd pull the EFX, because I thought it did have as many inq's. But I pulled it myself yesterday and see 5 inq's in the past 6 months. What ticks me off about that is technically four of the inquiries were not for the purpose of applying for a new line of credit: 11/20/2003 -The bank that broker deals with pulled before issuing a debit card 11/10/2003 - Opened a new brokage account, cash purchases only, no credit involved here, broker pulled credit report 10/11/2003 - VERIZON - already a customer for years, already had local phone service, and DSL, was just adding long distance. 9/13/2003 - CINGULAR WIRELESS already a customer for years, was just adding a second line. None of these inquiries will ever result in a positive credit line on my credit report. So why should they be considered negative?
Re: Re: Re: Apply for Circuit City See my last post George, how do you think I felt when I pulled my EFX and I saw 4 hard pulls and none of the pulls was for a new credit line.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Apply for Circuit C DISPUTE THEM--"I did not apply for a credit card or loan with XXXXXX, please remove"
Circuit City Visa requirements Any idea if there are any minimum requirements for length of time at residence or in current job?
Re: Circuit City Visa requirements Haven't applied yet. Didn't want to apply if it was going to be a problem. Target turned me down because I recently moved (bought a house) and EQ was still listing my old address.
