    Hey everybody,

Just got approved for the Blue from American Express originally with a $1,000 credit limit. Although I have a Platinum Optima with a $9000 credit limit now with a $13500 CL (more on that later). With my approval of the blue, they gave me 2k with a Prime Rate+5.99%. That really bothered me because my credit is excellent and my platinum optima is a 8.99 fixed. So after many attempts of me calling to increase the CL and and lower my rate to a fixed, I finally got to a rep by the seventh call. When I applied online it stated ANNUAL HOUSEHOLD INCOME. Well I placed my salary only. Based on my salary alone, I was supposedly already over extended on there credit limits (30% from salary). Well the gentlemen was nice enough to tip me and metioned that If I had add other members in the house salaries. I hadnt! So I mentioned (120k overall within 3 people) I made that up. Well he finally increased my limit from 2k to 7.5k on the blue. But could not lower my APR on it. So I took what I could get and asked how can I lower my APR. He gave me address to write to. But Im not sure on what to write. So I still have to do that. Also, when I went to log on the my Optima card on the american express. For the hell of it, I went to the CLI button. And there was a credit increase for that too!! It went from 9k to 13k. So today I got 2 credit increases on both cards. So Im pretty happy about that, but bummed on the APR for the blue.

Any suggestions on what to write in the letter. Or any other ways to lower my APR for the BLUE to a 7.99 fixed? Thanks
