Clean up of my TU resulted in FICO of 667. My utilization is 41% ($7k/$17k) and I have one derogatory tradeline an MBNA with serious deliquency, the most recent late pay was in 01/2001.

I have a Citi Sony Plat card with a credit line of $3,200. I had to fax them proof of income but they increased my CL to $10,000!!!!

Today, I also received a Citibank Dividend Plat card with a credit line of $3k to take advantage of the 0.0%/12 mos BT offer. Should I ask for the limit to be higher or not push my luck...

I am doing the happy dance right now!!!! I never thought I see the day where I'd be glad creditors pulled TU....

If I get this right...you have $13,200 for 2 cards...

I would ask them to TRANSFER BALANCES...

    DIVIDEND $12,200
    SONY $1,000

AFTER THE 0.00% BT...you could always change it back...

DO THIS FOR THE HIGHEST REWARD...(0.00% BT)

    Citi Client For Life!!!!!

As of 5/5/03 I only had a $3200 CL on my Citi Sony card. Now, a little of 2 weeks later. I have $20,000 worth of credit with Citi split evenly between a Citi Sony card and a new Citi Diamond Preferred card. They pulled TU for me as I live in CT, my score at the time this all started was approx 667. I went credit shopping so I am sure it took a dive. I can't believe it!!

That's great! I like Citi, too. I have BT'ed most of my other balances to my Citi at 7.9% and my AT&T Universal card at 3.9%, both for life of transfer.

    Update Folks!

Okay 5/5/03 I had a $3200 CL on one Citi Sony Card...

On 5/19/03 I applied for a Diamond Preferred Card and received a CL increase on my Citi Sony giving me Sony - $10k; Diamond - $10k

On 6/8/03 I applied for and received a CL increase on my Citi Diamond Preferred and used $1k from my Citi Sony to set up a Shell Card. So the finally tally is Shell - $1k; Sony - $9k; Diamond 20k

Okay a month and from $3200 to $30,000 in credit with Citi. I am done! All with a measly 667 FICO. I am 23 and my personal income currently is $94k. (Although because of my age there was some skepticism from the Citi Exec Office and I had to fax them not only paystubs but tax returns from '99 to '02).

Thank ya'll for teaching me who to call (exec office and retention) to get what I want accomplished....I am going to call and tell Household & Cap1 to stick their cards where the sun doesn't shine!!!! But wait, should I close those cards yet as they are my oldest accounts? Household opened in 02/02 and Cap One opened in 12/99....Please give input...

    Congrats!

Keep them both open until your other accounts season. When those accounts hit 36 months, close Household and keep Cap One open.

Work with Cap One Exec. Office to better the terms of that card.

Mel: How do you get the 30k?.
Sony 9k, Shell 1k and Diamond 10K...So the total is 20K. Isn´t it?

    Re: Re: Update Folks!

Sorry Geo I wasn't clear enough. I (1) opened the Shell card using $1k from my Sony card while simultaneously (2) applying for a $10k credit line increase on my Diamond Preferred card. So what was Sony $10k and Diamond $10k became Shell $1k, Sony $9k and Diamond $20k. Combined credit lines with Citi = $30k.
