I got a new DELL catalog last night and have been thinking about upgrading my 3 yr old computer.

I thought what the heck - I applied for the DELL pymt
plan - I was instantly approved for $1500.

GOSH - it seems things are getting MUCH EASIER
now that the car loan is showing up.

I have not bought a computer yet.

dell approved me with low 500 scores. I was very surprise but it did not much matter in the end- we just paid in cash. I am thinking they pulled experian.

Happy for you. Though, I wouldn't get a Dell. Refurbished parts, man.

yes, I agree with that, especially if you want a desktop.
If you buy a laptop then it does make sense to buy a dell.

Freddie - I am surprised to hear this refurbished info.
I have a DELL Inspiron laptop and have been using my current DELL for 3/5 years - P3 800 LOL!

My company uses DELL desktops and laptops.

I know you do have an option of buying a refurbished DELL - but I will buy:

    P4 - 2.4G - NVIDIA 128 - 512M memory - 80G HD.

I have not bought it yet.

YEA DUDE - Got SOME DELL....LOL!

I went ahead and bought a UPS power backup for $119.00, and that officially opened my DELL Preferred Credit account for the huge $1500 limit they gave me.

Interesting - when I filled out the final order and the final DELL credit questions were asked (employer and TN), it asked me 2 SECURITY QUESTIONS while opening the account:

1 - IF YOU OPENED a new AUTO LOAN in or around June 2002, the loan is with:
    1- WELLS FARGO
    2 - LSE/ SUMMIT
    3 - Onyx Acceptance
    4 - does not apply

2 - IF YOU HAVE a current auto loan, the payment range is:

    1. $453-490
    2. $491-$600
    3. $601-685
    4. $686-735
    5. Does not apply

After that the CONGRATULATIONS MESSAGE appeared
with a rate of 22%! $1500 credit line.

GET THIS - since I do not carry a balance - I do not care. It reports as CIT Online / DELL. They pulled my EXP which was 618 when they pulled it.
The agreement says the limits and interests are
subject to change - increase or decrtease - over time.

MY PAYMENT for the BELKIN UPS - MINIMUM is
$4 per month - 3% of balance. LOL.
Dollar a week for surge protection LOL!

aarrff - now I have another availble open credit line with automatic online account management. I already have the account number, etc.

This could be a good way to get a DELL and a new REVOLVING OPEN- ENDED credit line. When you pay off the merchandise, you still have an open credit line.

Congrats Dogman. I know somebody else already asked if you have derogatories but i would like to know if you have a Bk showing or is it gone now. The reason is that we have a BK from '97 on our reports. Our EX scores are over 700 since it has been over 5 years.

P.S. We like Dell and will definity consider them ourselves when we buy. Nice to have the account to boot.

Way to go dogman!! Dell is definitely the best. Dell pulls EX nationwide. I thought anyone mid-500's+ got a LOC. With 632, I would ask for reconsideration. They have a huge refurbished Dell store that I won't let myself go into, in Austin. It's in an old Walmart or something similar. I know that I would spend way too much. ;) Charlie

MrTexas, Would you please redirect your signoff to, I think, TU? Some people may think that you are directing the verbage at the board and may take offense.
If you have gotten your denial letter it should tell you where to write to ask for reconsideration. You may want to also send a PFB at the same time. ;) Charlie

    Thanks,

I guess I will have to wait for the denial letter then.
