Amex called today and let me know they approved a Delta Skymiles with a 5,300 CL. I live in NJ and they pulled Experian. I have a 689 score on CE. I also have an AMEX green. I didn't ask the interest rate I was priced at.
After an initial rejection, I got approved for a Starwood card. Didn't ask about CL or interest rate, since I pay everything off, anyway, but I wonder if Amex is loosening up some. The person I spoke with also was willing to reconsider my rejected Blue application. Their computers went down right as we were talking about it, so I didn't get Blue, after all. :/
It doesn't matter at what rate~~~GETTING MILEAGE AND PAYING INTEREST...is COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE!!! --------->14.74%
Called them back when their computers were working, and they wouldn't budge on Blue :-( That and a good Platinum Visa/MC are the last credit cards I want. With all the inquiries I have on Hexperian now, maybe 10, I'll have to wait at least 6 months to apply again. My CL is $2,000 on the Starwood card, the minimum CL they offer according to the CSR I spoke with at Amex. So maybe they aren't getting loose, after all. It's still my highest CL, with decent scores and no derogs, so don't feel so bad, GEORGE. You ain't the only one who gets no respect.
