Final approval subject to information verification? I applied online and got an instant approval for the Amex Blue cash, but that a CSR would contact us within the next 5 days.... Is this normal or is something wrong?
Yup, just to verify some info. Why wait give them a call in a day or two. Congrats! Best regards, Mirage
Aside from your question, I would say you had some really good news. Thanks for sharing it. Congrats, Cinderella!!
Don't worry about the CSR call to verify information - it's just for basic stuff like who you bank with, what's the number where we can verify your employment - that kind of stuff.
I got approved last week for blue. I was so happy, and this site was down...There was no place to share my joy. I told a girl at work 'I got blue" and she looked at me like I was nuts. The funny thing is. I have been waiting for tu to post my 4k CL increase on my CU visa. I knew it would take my score over 700. When My EQ hit 700 I applied for the HH trio and got all 3. So I check PG one morning and see that TU shows my new CL and my score was at 703. I quickly dialed 1-800-THE-CARD. I wanted to apply before my HH trio hits and my scores take a dive. I got approved for 20k. I almost sh!t myself!! The next day I check PG again and they checked EQ. Everything I had seen indicated they would pull TU for FL. So I took two hards on EX in 5 days score when to 698. But since I still had room to take a hard on TU (Thanks B!) I decided that Chase would check TU. I applied for plat ultimate rewards and got approved. 3.5k. With the HH trio that is 30k of new credit in 6 days. Now it is time to chill out. I want to be at 740 by November to buy a Tahoe at 0%. I also called MBNA today and got a CL from 7.5k to 10k with out a hard. But the best part of the week was getting blue. It was one of my goals and with the help of creditnet I was able to achieve it. 0% new car is next....
420greg, Congrats they checked tu for me when i applied & I thought they would check Eq. Was denied for the green.
Nice one on Blue too 420greg. I'm in the same boat as you.....the credit run stops with Blue and I am taking an exodus from new credit until the end of the year. Or at least six months, until we go to finance a new home or **maybe** a new truck for dh.
