"Congratulations, ka your application is approved! Your credit line of $15800 will be available after you receive and activate your card. You will receive your new card in 10 days. " Woohoo!!!! I thought for sure I'd be declined. Mega thanks to all the great posters here, I could not have done it without you!! ka
Congrats! What's your score? They sent me a preapproved offer in the mail, I applied online, they e-mailed back, and now want me to call them. I suppose that I'll call on Monday. Is this the way it unfolded for you? Did you get the 0% Balance Transfer deal, good 'till June 2004? They pulled my Equifax, which has been a bit deflated lately at 688 - it was over 700 a few months ago.
Actually, I did not have a pre-approved offer. I have been pulling my reports daily, waiting for the payoff of a Chase card to finaly hit, bringing total utilization down to < 10%. I pulled all of my true FICOs yesterday and figured it was good enough to go for it (the scores in my sig are as of yesterday, when I applied). When I confirm which report(s) they pulled, I will post. ka
They pulled EQ only, I'm in Colorado. I have two 30-day lates on a car loan that are just over 3 years old. I've heard AmEx is tough to get and was nearly certain those 30-day lates would get me denied. Needless to say, I was presently surprised. FWIW, I selected the 100,000-199,000 range for the income question. ka
