After helping my friend correct his reports, his EQ is completely clean now (was 725 before inquiries 716 now). He applied for a citi advantage about 2 weeks ago and got the "we'll let you know" message. Then after a few days he gets a denial letter stating they can't open an account because he applied within the past 60 days. Ok no big deal.... So he calls me today and says he got another letter yesterday saying welcome to citibank advantage you'll get your card within 10 days and then received the card today!! I remember this happened to someone else too, anyway I thought I would share. )
