Maybe it's not the greatest in the world, but I was approved today for a Futurecard (unsecured) with a $350 CL.

It's not much but it is the first unsecured bank card I've been approved for in over a year.

I guess I'll put a few small charges on it and pay down to about $1.50 and then let it sit. Does this sound right?

You should carefully consider the costs involved in getting this card before accepting. Last time i checked the no-future card was loaded to the limit with fee's

    Congratulations, tmitchell!

Just watch the start-up fees, pay in full each month (but allow the charge to be present over the cycle date, so that a charge hits your credit reports) and in six months apply for a Capital One unsecured card.

    Sam....

I know. I have read the terms and the costs do suck. However, with my income what it is now (as opposed to what it was when I went BK), I can pay off the fees easily at one shot.

    Thanks for the info
