I used PFB (as suggested on this board) to write First USA Bank to lower my Visa APR (24.99%) ,as I was unable to get it done by phone (ran into a brick wall there). They responded two days after I sent the letter and lowered it to 12.99%. Thanks to this board I've learned a lot, I've had 2 negative credit lines deleted from all 3 CRA's and because of learning about validation letters and SOL I got a CA off my back. I'm sure all you who have had credit problem's in the past, feared the ring of the phone and thought that you would never be rid of them, short of bankruptcy. Now I feel better armed to deal with these people. Thanks Mark
I guess they lowered it because I talked to a human being, instead of a braindead keyboard monkey at their advisor service number. The APR was permanently lowered as long as I keep my payments on-time. The ability to pay on-line, has sure helped my financial situation. Mark
