In ongoing quest to figure out what we need to do so that we can obtain a mortgage sometime before 2005, I have (yes) more questions... FHA is def. the way we're going to go. I've seen different people use different banks/lenders when going through FHA and it makes me wonder. Do all the banks/lenders have pretty much the same credit requirements? I mean, the loan is backed by FHA so I'm sure the banks are told what they can approve but are any of them any more discerning than others? For example, GMAC is more strict than say- Household. Amex more than Capital One Do any particular banks only accept those with pristine histories or they all offer about the same service, depending on what product(s) you're looking at. This question doesn't make a whole lot of sense...I realize that... What FHA lenders have you guys used? I've seen WaMu and a couple others...
