Just wondering if anyone has had civil judgements dismissed in bankruptcy, not just jugements from creditors. I know someone who has two or three judgements on his credit report, one from a friend who sued over a car sale gone bad, one from a mechanic who sued over non payment of services, and one from a lawyer who was never paid for services. I think these show up on his report as civil judgements. Will these get dismissed in bk? Luke
Civil judgments can be included in his bk and they get discharged just like his other creditors. Sometimes courts require a "release" and sometimes the local courts just need to see the discharge papers. It just depends. clc
