I have removed over 50 negs on each report of mine over the last 1.5 years. I now have no public records. Pretty good considering I did have 4 bk's and 15 judgments. I have no late pays in 2 years. Insead I have on average 10-15 accounts all with pays as agreed notations. I have $5,700.00 worth of collections of which half are medical and the other half are not worth explaining other than saying stupid cell phone and a balance from a credit card machine. All these collections though are older than 3 years. I have 36, 34 and 25 inquiries on each report. I also have on average only 10% available on revolving accts. I have relativley low credit lines of 250, 300, 400, 600, 800, 1000 and 2500. My scores are just horrible. EQ 559 EX 597 TU 604 I disputed all but 3-6 inquiries on ALL 3 reports just today...by phone...yes TU too. What you have to do is say it is due to fraud...decline the fraud notation on your account, they give you another number to call which is 1-800-680-7289. After the first prompt, press option 3 to speak with a fraud analyst. Explain that someone has applied using your info and they will send a letter to each company explaining this. Will paying down my cards to 10% and the removal of my inquiries move me up? How much? SnakeMan
It should move you up, but who knows how much? There are a lot of variables, including the length of history. Utilization seems to be a big factor, so paying down some accounts should help.
