Are these worth disputing?

I have 2 CO accounts, one from BOA and one from Cap One. They are both from 2002 and they are both being reported as "settled" or "legally paid for less than full amount." Each company did accept a settlement on the account and unfortuantely this occurred prior to my finding this forum.

They have been verified by EQ and EX and somehow removed from TU, not quite sure how this happended and not complaining. I have been able to remove other items and my scores are 663-685. I still have late student loan payments that are affecting my scores and I know are almost impossible to remove.

    My questions are:

    1. Are these worth disputing with the OC at this point? Due to their date, to what extent are these affecting my scores?

    2. If I dispute woth the OC's is there a chance they will reappear on TU?

Thanks very much in advance. I have learned and achieved alot.

    DISPUTE WITH THE BUREAUS FIRST.

JUST DEPENDS, IT CAN AT ANYTIME WHETHER YOU DISPUTE OR NOT SHOW UP. THEY PICK AND CHOOSE WHO AND WHEN THEY REPORT.

Thanks very much in advance. I have learned and achieved alot.

Thanks for the reply. I did dispute with the CB and both CapOne and BOA verified, so I thought disputing with the OC may be the next step.
    Thanks again.

Just curious here, this post got me to thinking, don't mean to high jack. Please pardon my intrusion.

I have several old debts from 2002 that are either paid or IIB but are degradatory anyhow, should I expect these to "fall off" in 7 years? (2009)

I live in Texas. I always get confused about this lol.

    Thanks

keep trying, dont give up. chances are you may get someone who is either lazy or nice. its sort of like calling cust. serv somewhere and not getting your way, call back and you may get a different person willing.
