    Hi
I could have sworn I just saw something on this but the search wasn't sucessfull.
A collection popped up on hubbys credit reports from Dept of Education supposedly from past due as of May 2002. I validated it immediatly with them it came back ina letter that it was reported to the CRA but we didn't owe anything and we should take it up with the CRA if it was being reported "wrong". So naturally I disputed with Experian..Damn thing came as a paid collection.
We never recieved a bill or letter or anything..... Trust me all this work I've been doing since Jan to clean things up I wouldn't let a 40.00 bill go to collections..lol
So I need info on whether its our right to recieve a bill and find out what the DEpt of Education violated
so I can fire off a letter to get it removed.

    TIA
    Jamie

There is a law that says a creditor must present a bill at least 14 days before the due date.

Absolutely, they have to provide you with a bill.
