Hubby went to PO Box we hardly used (only used for move transition)..and there was a certified letter thingy..you know to pick up a certified letter...from Longmount, CO...(I have no dealings with Longmount that I know of...)

And, it was after closing so I'm stuck wondering until tomorrow...

Why do we always assume it is the worst..I truly have no issues I can think of outstanding...blah....

and no rich hardly-known relatives either who might be leaving me a present..:(

Probably because it usually does mean the worst. At least in my case.

The suspense is worse than waiting for the next episode of a soap opera! Sometimes you get lucky and the post person will indicate the name of the person or company on the pick up card thingy.

You sure you haven't entered the Publisher's Clearinghouse sweeps or something?

Try not to worry about it, it might be nothing.

It occurred to me it could be a legal thing...my asst. principal last year was arrested, big news in Aurora, and I'm wondering if I might be needed for info...we worked together a lot. Who knows?

Once you've got the keys they can't take them away from you if you keep paying the mortgage :) Even get to keep the pool. 2 months ago this would have scared you...now it should be a walk in the park (or a drive to the post office). Good Luck Nana...we will be praying for an announcement from the lottery commission of Longmount.

Oh Nana, maybe a LONG distance old uncle herman whom you never met nor heard of left you something in his will LOL.

I know waiting and wondering is a pain in the rear, I am sure it's nothing:)

    Nana,

Aurora, huh. Scared me for a second, I thought you might mean Aurora, IL where I live. Thought I missed something on the news. LOL

Now that you have us going, you MUST let us know what this is about. Please don't leave us hanging!

    Nana-

Did you recently apply for any cards? There may be a friendly little hard piece of plastic in there!

Longmount rings a bell with me for some reason - hopefully it's good. I'll look through what I didn't recycle last week...

    Let us know-

    NanaC...

It's from me...If I put FORT COLLINS...You would have known it was me (AND WOULD HAVE REFUSED IT).

I PUT LONGMONT TO THROW YOU OFF...IT IS MY DEMAND LETTER FOR MY 2 F.I.C.O. POINTS...

    :)

George: You, my friend, are hysterical..and I'll never pay, NEVER....prove I owe it! Where's my signature!! LOL Those FICO points are MINE, ALL MINE!

Everyone: You guys made me feel so much better..thanks!

    NOW....Drumroll, please.........here's the results:

When we went BK13, we voluntarily surrendered our piece of junk Saturn (Yes, I know lots of people love theirs but we got a LEMON, LEMON, LEMON! The stories I could tell..and they never invited Moi to any picnic which of course it the real issue here)...anyway...apparently, the car was picked up abandoned in CO and it is still in my name. How about them apples, er, lemons? They want to know if I want to pay the impound fees and get it....

I called and told them the POJ was not mine..and they said okey dokey, disregard the notice..but it's kinda funny!

    TAAAAAAAADAAAAAAAAAAA

    NanaC:

You said you voluntarily surrenderd the car. Then you said it was found abandoned in Colorado. Who abandoned it? Was it Saturn? I have owned GM products before and I know the best way to deal with them is to abandon the car. I was just curious if it was such a piece of junk that Saturn ditched it.

I live near the plant and have friends who work there but I would never buy one. I worked for GM years ago and know what kind of car they build.

I have no idea who abandoned it...last I say it, the POJ was being towed away by some towing company on behalf of the creditor. Gosh, that was years ago. LOL...did Saturn abandon it? AHAHHAHAHAHAH Probably....ahahha...

    NanaC,

I'm thinking positive thoughts for you. Maybe there's a little piece of plastic waiting for you and you had forgotten that you applied.
Suspense is a killer, though! Isn't it? At least I know I'm not the only one on pins and needles.
