Hi everyone! Just wondering if this has happened to anyone... I sent in a payment of $178. I called the automated system and the payment had been posted to my account on 4/12/01, but my available credit was only $30!! I called Customer service yesterday and she said that they DID receive my check , but they were holding it for security purposes. She said that maybe it was because it did not fit my usual payment pattern and that my funds would be increased on 04/22/01. Ok, whatever!! Can they do that? I don't care really as long as I know why and what's going on with my acct. Just thought that was weird because I pay my Providian Gold online or by check for big amounts and have never had a problem. Just thought I would share...
not with small payments I've only heard of holds being put on large payments -- $1,000 or more. But I don't have an Aria card.
